this weekend we took advantage of the nice weather and ventured out and about. [to clarify: by nice I mean hovering around the freezing mark and sunny!] on saturday morning we went to my cousin, alex's, hockey tournament. I'm a little embarrassed to say that I haven't seen him play in years...and what a difference! they fly around on the ice and have no problem slamming each other into the boards. kyle and I were secretly praying that miles will take no interest in this sport. not for the "slamming" part but for the cha-ching part! baseball is MUCH easier on the pocketbook.
on saturday night we got together with family to celebrate the birthdays of cousins jacob and josh. now these two are a bit old for a party, per se, but we like to use it as an excuse to get together to play games and EAT! the cake and girl scout cookie ice cream was delish. miles charmed everyone and even got to stay up late...9:30pm...such a little party animal!
on sunday, more cousins, nick & ellie, came over with my uncle scott to play wii. nick got to try his hand at guitar hero and was a little taken aback by the amount of coordination needed to actually play a note. he and his dad were able to combine forces and jam along with kyle. I'm sure that with a bit more practice, nick will be rockin' out on his own! [ellie took the picture of miles & me...pretty good huh?]
we met kyle's brother, clayt, and his fiancee, jess, for lunch at whistle binkies. miles tried to get in on the bloody mary bar and popcorn. he had to settle on some sweet potato puffs. great trade off huh? after lunch we came back to our house so miles could try on his tuxedo that he'll be wearing in clayt & jess' wedding on march 7th. what do you think?

He looks like such a little man in that tux! Way too cute for words.
Miles is the cutest thing I've ever seen in that tux! Priceless!
What a cutie!!! He is so adorable in that tux that I have it as my screen saver and makes me smile every time I sit down to the comp.
