tinker: hi everyone. tessie & I FINALLY have to chance to speak to you all about the neglect we have had to endure since mom and dad decided to bring home this thing they call "baby miles". [look! mom totally ignored tessie during this game of peek-a-boo!]you see, back in the day we were the babies and life was good! we wore cool clothes, got groomed by mom, and played a lot of games. we even tried out an agility class.
tessie: yeah, agility was super fun! I was scared at first (mom & dad say I'm scared of my own shadow), but after a couple of tries I flew through the tunnel and wove the poles better than any dog in the class!!
tinker: don't get off subject tessie! at first the baby just laid around and cried every now and then. he didn't bug us, but he stole all the attention. I was suspicious of the countless hours he spent staring at us...now he has the nerve to move around just like a puppy! he goes after our food, steals our toys, and knocks over the scary gate! I had to figure out how to play catch with myself...sniff...sniff...
tessie: we don't get to have any fun :( we haven't worn our cool outfits in months, mom drops us off at that terrible petsmart place for a haircut, and this is probably the last time we went on a walk (notice who HAD to come with!)...
oh and baby miles is scary! I try to tell him to leave me alone, but he wants to touch my collar. I usually just give him lots of kisses to get him to go away. I like to kiss him. maybe he's not so bad?!tinker: yeah, I do like to clean off the crumbs when he's done eating...and sometimes he drops food down to us. the other day he threw the ball to me.
that's my FAVORITE! I suppose we'll let him hang around a little while longer. mom and dad seem to love him almost as much as they love me...er...I mean us.
tessie: and we like to lay in his room, right tinker?
tinker: yep! we just wanted you all to remember that we were the babies first and we are hoping that the spring will bring lots more walks...I suppose baby miles can come with too...as long as he lets me do the marking!
