kylin and grace

this week we were able to squeeze in a play date with kylin and grace before I head back to work and kate and I work opposite schedules once again. miles is usually excited to see the girls. however, I think that his short stint at MOPPETS earlier in the week led him to think I was going to leave him at the schroeder's. [note: MOPPETS is the kids play groups at MOPS - a group I recently joined]. therefore, we had an award-winning whiner on our hands. if I had to endure one more tearfully dramatic "hold mommy!" or "don't like it", I was going to implode. seriously kid. kate was a wonderful host, as usual! we played outside on their play set and then headed indoors for some lunch. it's so fun to get time to chat and to see how quickly her beautiful daughters are growing up. here are a few pictures from our time together:

meet me at the playground

beth and I decided to capitalize on the gorgeous weather and take the boys over to the park. beth and seth have a great park about three blocks from their house. it was windy, but we didn't mind. henry stayed cozy in the stroller while miles and josiah tried out just about every piece of playground equipment. except, of course, the big toy. not because miles is too little, but because we clearly interrupted a little teeny bopper rendezvous. bummer.

official holiday

last monday was an official holiday here at casa kroening - the twins' home opener. always a great day...but this one was extra special as the twins played their first home game at the new target field. kyle came home a couple of hours early to watch the twinkies win. miles was thrilled to wake up from his nap and have daddy home! I'll admit that it is quite an impressive ball park and we are pretty excited to take in a few of the games from the stadium later this summer (one of us a bit more so than the other).
